There is so much in life to appreciate, but how much of our day do we spend taking stock of just how much we have?
Train yourself to shift your awareness towards the things in your life that make you feel alive and make you laugh and smile.
So how do we make that shift?
It’s very easy. You can start by thinking about these things as soon as you wake up. Instead of rushing headlong into your day, take five minutes to focus purely on what is going right in your life. Then as you get up for the day, look around you and appreciate your home, your loved ones, the clothes you are wearing and the food you are eating.
We are blessed in so many ways, but we just have to ‘wake up’ and notice the blessings that surround us. Don’t be blinded. There is so much to love about life.
Appreciate the people you come across during your day. Learn to value the smiles and the fun conversations. Appreciate the weather outside, regardless of whether it is warm or cold. Appreciate nature and the birds singing. Appreciate your neighbours and all the positive things about your neighbourhood.
Learn to practice this simple technique, and as you start to appreciate life more, life will present you with more things to appreciate.
